NOTE-1: LATEST OUTLOOK ON GLOBAL DEBT LEVELS ACCORDING TO IIF REPORT

According to the "Global Debt Monitoring Report" published by the Institute of International Finance (IIF), in the first three quarters of 2020, the total debt amount of countries at the global level increased by 15 trillion dollars and reached 272 trillion dollars. By the end of the year, this amount could reach 277 trillion dollars, equivalent to 365 percent of world GDP.

NOTE-2: WHAT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA'S "COVID-19 STIMULUS PACKAGE" INCLUDES

In the United States of America, President Joe Biden signed a USD 1.9 trillion support package on March 11, 2021 to address the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the economy. The financial support package, also known as the "Covid-19 Revitalization Package", "2021 American Rescue Plan Act" or "American Rescue Plan", aims to provide financial relief to individuals, small businesses, non-profit organizations and businesses operating in the accommodation, transportation and food sectors that have been experiencing hard times due to the Covid-19 pandemic since March 2020. Financial resources have also been allocated for health centers, testing and vaccination to continue the fight against Covid-19.
