Prof. Dr. Neşe ÇELEBİ

Prof. Dr. Neşe Çelebi, who is a graduate of METU, has been working on Engineering Eco-nomics, Operations Research, System Analysis and Production Planning since the first ye-ars of her academic career, which started with a Game Theory-based PhD study at METU. Between 2003 and 2016, she continued her career at the Industrial Engineering Department of Atılım University, first as a professor and then as the head of the department. In that period, she focused on academic studies based on "University-Industry" cooperation in the field of Industrial Engineering. In addition to supervising a number of Master's and PhD theses and to taking part in DPT, TUBITAK and Industry supported projects; she also performed various administrative duties at the university. She still continues to carry out applied scientific studies.


   

Prof. Dr. Yavuz CABBAR

Yavuz Cabbar graduated from Anadolu University as a chemical engineer (1982). He received his master's degree(1985) from the same university and his doctorate (1993) from Ankara University. He was a postdoctoral fellow at University of California at Davis (1994-1995). He received the title of Associate Professor in the science of process and reactor design (1996). He taught undergraduate and graduate courses at Hacettepe and Gazi universities. He began his working life as Deputy Inspector of Labour in the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and rose to Inspector of Labour (1984-1992). Later, Ministry of Environment Inspectorate (1992-1994), Chief Inspector (1994-1997), Vice Chairman of Inspection Board (1995-1997), General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment and planning (1997-1999; Turkish Sugar Factories A.P. He served as General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors (2000-2001); member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Standards Institute (2001-2003). From February October 2001 to October 2011, he served as deputy undersecretary in the Ministry of Industry and trade. May 2003 May 2006, as well as deputy undersecretary of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TURKAK) and 2010-2011, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Patent Institute. Since October February 2011, he has been the General Secretary of the Ankara Chamber of Industry (Aso), and in February 2021 he became a professor at the Faculty of Engineering of OSTIM Technical University. His fields of study are mathematical modeling, simulation, process control and risk analysis. He is married and has 2 children.


 

 

Prof. Dr. Jehad ALZABUT

Prof. Jehad Alzabut received his undergraduate degree from Middle East Technical University (METU) Faculty of Science, Department of Mathematics in 1997. He completed his master's degree in the same department in 1999 with the thesis of "Oscillation of Delayed Impulsive Differential Equations". He received his Ph.D. degree from METU Mathematics Department in 2004 with his study on “Periodic Solutions and Stability of Delayed Impulsive Differential Equations”. He worked as a lecturer-assistant professor at Çankaya University between 2002-2007.

Since 2007, Prof. Alzabut has been working in the Department of Mathematics and General Sciences at Prince Sultan University in Saudi Arabia. Prof. Jehad Alzabut became associate professor in 2009 and professor in 2014. Prof. Alzabut served as the Head of the Department of Mathematics and General Sciences at Prince Sultan University between 2017-2020. In 2015, he became a Higher Education Fellow at the Higher Education Academy-United Kingdom-FHEA and received the "Professional Teaching-Learning Standards Framework" certificate. Prof. Alzabut has received various teaching awards many times throughout his career.

Prof. Alzabut focused on differential equations and their applications and achieved outstanding success by publishing more than 220 scientific articles in world-renowned journals. He has also won many awards and funds, such as the best researcher. These articles he published attracted the attention of many scientists in the international arena and were used in his research by Prof. Alzabut has received a high number of citations. Prof. Alzabut has served as a referee in many scientific journals and still works as the editor of some scientific journals. He was included in the list conducted by Stanford University, representing the top 2 percent of the most cited scientists in the world. This study covers research publications made up to the end of 2020.

 

  

                                                                   

 

Assoc.Prof. Canser BİLİR

He graduated from Istanbul Technical University with a bachelor's degree in Managerial Engineering in 1997. He has a master's degree from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. He received his Ph.D. degree from Dogus University in 2014. After receiving his Ph. D degree, he taught at the Industrial Engineering Department, Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University for seven years. He also chaired the department for three years. He has managed many strategic, IS related or academic research projects and published articles in various international journals. He has been holding the PMP certification since 2008. His main research areas are Project Management and Supply Chain Optimization. He recently has been awarded the title of “Associate Professorship” and joined OSTİM Technical University Industrial Engineering Department.

 

 

Assist. Prof. Dr. Orhan GERDAN

Dr. Gerdan graduated from the System Engineering Department of theTurkish Military Academy in 1994 and completed his master's and doctoral studies at Gazi University, Department of Industrial Engineering in 1998 and 2007.

In his 22-year military career, he worked as a manager in procurement and logistics processes at the Gendarmerie General Command, as an instructor and education manager at theTurkish Military Academy and Gendarmerie NCO Vocational School.

After his retirement, he was a Strategyand Business Development Manager for four months at OYAK Defenseand Security Services Inc., a part-time instructor teaching Operations Research, Production Planning, Supply Chain Management, Project Management in Industrial Engineering Departments at Turkish Aeronautical Association and Food and Agriculture Universities. He worked as a short-term expert in the "Civilianand Democratic Oversight of Internal Security Forces Phase-III" project carried out by UNDP Turkey and as a Asst.Prof.Dr. in the Industrial Engineering Department of Konya Food and Agriculture University for a term. He is still working at OSTİM Technical University, Department of Industrial Engineering as a Asst. Prof. Dr.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Arda ALP

After graduating from Gazi University Industrial Engineering Department in 2001, Dr. Arda Alp completed his master's degree in Industrial Engineering at Bilkent University. He first pursued his doctoral education at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne - EPFL and later he earned the doctorate degree with 'cum laude - honor' at the Chair of Production and Logistics Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

Within the scope of his scientific research activities, Dr. Alp also carried out Swiss and EU funded academia - industry collaboration projects with multinational companies and non-governmental organizations.

In parallel with his doctoral studies at Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne, Dr. Alp established academic research collaboration and consultancy projects with Roche Diagnostics and Novartis International of Switzerland, which were funded by CTI - Innovation Promotion Agency of the Swiss Federal Government.

Furthermore, during his doctoral studies at the Chair of Production and Logistics Management, University of Neuchâtel, Dr. Alp also participated and took an active role in academic research collaboration projects with Vetrotech, Saint-Gobin International (Switzerland)United Planet(Boston, USA)Lancer Callon Ltd (UK) and REHAU (Germany) which were supported and funded by EU 7th Framework / Marie Curie Actions – Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways.

Dr. Alp assisted both undergraduate and graduate courses such as ‘Quality Control and International Certification’‘International Operations and Logistics’‘Quality Management’ and ‘Production Management’. As a part of innovative teaching support, he created and organized simulation/business games with master classes on supply chain management, logistics and performance management. He also supervised several master students in their graduation projects and internship studies.

Dr. Alp attended several leading international conferences, seminars, and doctoral schools where he has presented his research and related studies. Four of his studies were selected and published as book chapters by Springer. He also participated in several professional workshops and executive master classes.
