Research

The Faculty of Engineering at Ostim Technical University continuously enhances its modern laboratory infrastructure to maximize students' hands-on learning experiences. Our faculty has established specialized laboratories for disciplines such as computer, software, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, aerospace, electrical-electronics, and mechanical engineering, providing students with the opportunity to develop and implement projects aligned with the real needs of the industry. Additionally, in response to the requirements of the OSTİM industrial zone, we are building research and development infrastructure in advanced manufacturing technologies, robotics systems, data science, and energy solutions. Through university-industry collaboration, we create a strong ecosystem that integrates students into the professional world via joint projects, internships, and career support programs with regional companies.

To support academic research and strengthen university-industry partnerships, our faculty encourages researchers to apply for scientific research projects through the Scientific Research Projects (BAP) Unit. Faculty members and graduate students can benefit from BAP-funded support for thesis studies, laboratory infrastructure development, and advanced research projects. These grants enable our researchers to develop innovative projects, produce technological solutions, and provide scientific approaches to contemporary engineering challenges.

By maintaining strong ties with the industry, our university aims to translate research into practical applications and contribute added value to the local industry. BAP-supported projects conducted within our faculty contribute to the development of joint R&D efforts with companies in the OSTİM industrial zone, offering students the opportunity to engage in industry-driven projects. This approach not only supports academic and industrial research but also leads to the creation of innovative solutions that address regional industry needs while establishing long-term collaborations with industrial enterprises.
